About Eleanor

Eleanor Lontos
Clinical Psychologist
B.PsychSc (Hons), MPsych (Clinical)

My experience spans private, public, not-for-profit, research, and educational settings, working with adults across different stages of life. These experiences have shaped both how I practise psychology and how I understand the complexity of people’s lives.

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed. I draw from evidence-based psychological therapies while remaining flexible in how they are applied, rather than fitting a person or their experience into a single framework.

I place a strong emphasis on developing a shared understanding of what is happening, how it may have developed, and what continues to shape it. Insight can be powerful, but knowing why does not always change how something feels. Therapy can also involve working with the ways our experiences show up in our emotions, relationships, bodies, and responses to the world around us.

I approach psychological science with both respect and humility - drawing on the evidence while recognising that no single theory, diagnosis, or framework can fully capture the complexity of a person.

Throughout our work, we’ll regularly reflect on what is helping, what may need to shift, and where you would like therapy to go.
